I bought a new Creative Zen 4GB today, for £100. I'd seen it a while ago and decided the small size and video support was ace, and it would be a nice replacement for my beloved 20GB iRiver which I gave to Nisha. Here's what it looks like:

I got it home, and things could not have gone worse. It turns out that:
- There is no support for Macs/OS X. By a product that is directly competing with (read: getting murdered by) Apple's iPod. CEO's at Creative - how much crack have you been smoking?
- The interface is ... horrible. There is also a big delay between pressing buttons and menus on the screen.
- I had it for about an hour, and it had crashed twice
With no Mac support whatsoever I was obviously left unable to use it. I had a really sour taste in my mouth about the whole experience: up to my knees in howto's, hacks, 3rd party apps, etc and for what? For the simple functionality that we've come to expect from media players, that Creative failed so spectacularly to deliver. Idiots.
Do not buy this terrible product.
So I bought this instead:
It's wicked, it's SO cheap for 80gb of storage, it does video and more importantly IT JUST FREAKIN' WORKS
I can't believe Apple have it this easy. Screw you, crack-smoking Creative.
